The Sexually Transmitted Infections Foundation (STIF) is the education arm of the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH). It provides multidisciplinary training in the attitudes, skills, and knowledge required for the prevention and management of sexually transmitted infections.

The STIF Foundation Theory Course

The Theory course comprises approximately 10 hours of e-learning and attendance at STIF Core and STIF Plus either online or face to face.

The STIF Competency Programme

STIF Competency is a nationally recognised training and assessment qualification in sexual health. In addition to the STIF Intermediate and NHIVNA Competencies, it comprises a further 4 work-based training and assessment packages for healthcare professionals requiring skills development to manage people with STIs.
